The Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED course is provided by the American Heart Association and taught intermittently at each of our services.
This course is designed to prepare you to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
This class is provided in a classroom setting and is under the supervision of an AHA instructor for the entire learning experience.
The Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive.
Topics included:
- Choking relief in adults, children, and infants
- What to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants
- Use of an AED
- Quality CPR
